Veterinary Practitioners Board
OF NEW SOUTH WALES
Veterinary Practitioner Registration
Honorary Registration
Honorary registration means no annual registration fees are due in consideration of the veterinary practitioner's long service to the profession. However, they are still legally registered as a veterinarian and can continue working as one.
A Veterinarian may be granted Honorary Registration if they meet all the following criteria:
The applicant:
- is currently a fully registered veterinary practitioner with the NSW Register;
- has been a member of the profession of veterinary science for no less than 40 years;
- is of or above the age of 65; and
- their standing in the profession is such to justify honorary registration.
The application must be in writing and posted to the Board's office where it will be placed on the next monthly Board agenda.
