March 2020 CVO Bulletin regarding African Swine Fever. 

This CVO Bulletin has been issued on behalf of Sarah Britton – the Chief Veterinary Officer in NSW. The CVO Bulletin provides an update on African Swine Fever (ASF) and includes information on how veterinarians can register their interest to do field work in the event of an ASF response. In addition, attached are two new resources developed to assist veterinarians in identifying and investigating suspect ASF cases:

• African swine fever – A guide for veterinarians
• NSW DPI Primefact 1710 – African swine fever (ASF) investigation

NSW DPI has an e-tender live inviting interested vets to register if they would be willing to work as a contractor to assist with field work in the event of an emergency response to African Swine Fever.
