National Wildlife Biosecurity Guidelines

Dear Colleague

National Wildlife Biosecurity Guidelines

At a time when Australia’s biosecurity effectiveness is more important than ever, I wish to draw your attention to a crucial resource to guide the work of everyone who works with wildlife; the National Wildlife Biosecurity Guidelines.

Initially released in November 2018, these unprecedented Guidelines are a pivotal set of resources that draw together the latest information and insights on how wildlife workers in all fields can adopt best-practices in applying biosecurity controls to every aspect of their work.

They include comprehensive information and insights drawn from many specialist agencies including biosecurity, environment, human health, as well as many non- government organisations and expert individuals.

Please share these Guidelines with any and all of your colleagues, students and/or stakeholders to ensure they are used as a vital practical layer in protecting Australia’s biosecurity and health.

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr Rupert Woods
