Taronga Veterinary Professional Training in Wildlife Treatment and Care

Due to overwhelming positive feedback and success of the program, Taronga are taking enrolments for their Wildlife Treatment and Care course for Semester 1, 2023. 

Specifically designed for veterinary professionals (vets, vet nurses and vet techs), the course focuses on building the confidence, knowledge and skills required for the triage, first aid, treatment and care of Australian wildlife.

Delivered via a blended learning model combining online distance education and a 1-day intensive practical workshop (optional), the course is CPD accredited by the Australian Veterinary Association and the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia.
 

Applications open 3 October and close 14 November 2022.


The online course runs from 16 January to 16 April 2023 with optional workshops schedule in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria between April and July.

Applicants who meet the course eligibility criteria and reside in New South Wales, ACT, Queensland, Victoria or South Australia will automatically be assessed for a fully-subsidised position (includes the online course and the optional face-to-face workshop).
