Equine Neurological Disease Investigation Workshops
NSW Department of Primary Industries will be hosting a series of equine neurological disease investigation workshops for NSW veterinarians and paraveterinarians in March 2024.
This free training opportunity provides an opportunity to reconnect with veterinary colleagues and earn 3 CPD points.

The workshops will focus on:
· Clinical examination of neurological equids and differential diagnoses
· Process of notification - who to report to and when
· Descriptive analysis of submissions to NSW DPI
· Risk assessments of a neurological horse in the field
· Diagnostic sampling and interpreting lab results
Who should attend?
· Private veterinarians who see/treat horses in NSW
· Para-veterinarians who support horse health in NSW, including but not limited to:
o Vet nurses, Technical officers, Laboratory technicians and Pharmaceutical
· University Veterinary students
· TAFE Vet Nursing students
Workshop inclusions:
· 3 CPD points with a Certificate of Attendance
· A light dinner during the workshop
· A hard copy of the ‘Neurological diseases of significance in equids' glovebox guide
· The NSW DPI Emergency Animal Diseases information pack
The workshops will be held in four locations across NSW as follows:
· Club Singleton, Singleton - Tuesday 12 March, 6-9pm
· Park Bowls Beach Club, Coffs Harbour - Wednesday 13 March, 6-9pm
· Belgenny Farm, Camden - Monday 18 March, 6-9pm
· Mercure Wagga Wagga, Wagga Wagga - Tuesday 19 March, 6-9pm
